- Streamlined legislative work: Fewer conflicts of competence and better cooperation mechanisms among committees, possibility to have temporary legislative committees to deal with crosscutting proposals
- Improved scrutiny of the Commission: Special scrutiny hearings and ad hoc plenary sessions to quiz the Commission, improved process for confirmation hearings of Commissioners-designate
- Upgraded focus on taxpayers’ money: A more effective approach on budget, discharge and legislation, with targeted assessments for all legislative proposals affecting the budget
- Initiated by President Metsola and endorsed by the Parliament’s Conference of Presidents in January and December 2023, the revision process included a working group composed of representatives of all political groups
